Spring Is Your Fresh Start: Nature Has Your Back
Have you ever noticed how everything feels easier when the sun is shining?
You suddenly have more energy, more motivation, and maybe even a little extra patience.
That’s not a coincidence; it’s science.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, unmotivated, or like the excitement you had for your goals in January has completely disappeared, it makes sense.
Truthfully, winter isn’t an easy time to create big changes.
Animals hibernate, it's dark, and everything around us is on pause, but we throw out resolutions and "new year, new me" goals with actual confetti.
But now?
The world is waking up, and so can you.
It's time for a spring mindset reset!
Spring is the season of renewal, fresh starts, and forward momentum.
So if you’re ready for the cabin fever to break and want to finally start making progress toward those goals you set back in January, keep reading.
This post will show you how to use the energy of spring to reset, refocus, and take action.
Why Spring Naturally Boosts Motivation: The Spring Mindset Reset
More daylight = more motivation
Longer days mean more sunlight, and that extra daylight increases the feel-good chemicals serotonin and dopamine in your body. These chemicals help you focus, feel energized, and stay motivated.
Nature resets your nervous system
Spending time outside reduces stress, lowers cortisol (your stress hormone), and helps you feel calm. If you’ve been stuck in a cycle of overthinking, taking a short walk outside can help you break that cycle.
Green means growth
Just like trees and flowers come back to life in the spring, you might notice you feel inspired and motivated too. The changing season is a biological reset and the perfect time to revisit the goals you've forgotten about or put off.
Take a moment to think about a time when you felt stressed or anxious, then went outside. How did you feel afterward?
Now, imagine if you didn’t wait until you were overwhelmed and anxious to take advantage of fresh air and sunshine. You can actually lower your daily cortisol levels just by spending more time outside.
(Bonus points if you leave your phone and AirPods in the house!)
Spring Is the Real New Year
January comes with so much pressure to set resolutions and change your life overnight, but winter is meant for resting and restoration.
It’s cold, dark, and slow-moving.
Spring, though?
This is when you’re naturally wired to create, grow, and take action.
If you set a goal in January but haven’t made the progress you wanted, that doesn’t mean you failed. It just means the conditions weren’t right yet.
Think of your goals like tulip bulbs. Just because you couldn’t see them growing underground doesn’t mean they weren’t alive. They’ve been waiting for the right moment to stretch, push up from the dirt, and bloom.
And now that spring is right around the corner, it’s time for them and you to grow.
You just need some sunshine, attention, and the right support to make it happen.
3 Steps to Reset & Take Action on Your Goals
If you're ready to wake up your goals with spring energy, here’s how to start:
Reassess
What goal did you set in January that still matters to you?
If it doesn’t feel exciting or aligned anymore, maybe it needs a tweak.
Adjust
What’s one small step you can take now?
If your goal was to exercise more, maybe the gym felt impossible, but a walk outside feels doable (and actually enjoyable).
Recommit
Decide you’re in. No more second-guessing. This doesn’t mean you have to do everything at once. Small steps will get you to your goals with less overwhelm and overthinking.
Why Support Makes the Biggest Difference
If you’ve ever tried to do something completely on your own, whether it’s a big career move, a health goal, or just building confidence, you know how easy it is to get stuck.
You second-guess yourself.
You get caught in overthinking.
You lose motivation because no one’s there to keep you going.
That’s exactly why coaching makes all the difference.
Because when you have support, you don’t just start something; you finish it.
If you’re tired of spinning in overwhelm and indecision, waiting for motivation to magically
show up, or feeling like you should be further along, I have two ways I can help you:
